My Father, My Best Friend

So here's my simple poem to dad,

The best friend I ever had,

He carried me with arms of love,

Always smiling from above, 

He works from dawn to the setting sun,

To make sure that I always have fun.

He is someone who listens to my every word, 

No matter how they may sound so absurd.

He's proud of my triumphs,

But if things go wrong,

He'll be there to hold me,

And make me feel strong.

You walked with me, dad,

You always held my hand,

You never let me fall,

And taught me what you can.

I hope you know I love you,

And thank you in every way,

You are the best Dad ever,
