A Child Sees...
A child sees a pat on their back as care,
And someone who cares as family.
They encourage us all to love and share,
To see everything as a beautiful fantasy.
A child sees the world as a rainbow,
Marvelous, colorful, and great.
They see the people as sparrows,
Singing loud and acting brave.
You might see everything as bleak,
But children know everything’s unique.
They watch the seasons pass,
The winters, summers, autumns, springs,
Of laughter, flowers, and grass.
And see the beauty hidden in everything.
They tap their feet to songs,
Even if they don’t understand what they mean.
They smile all the while we all frown,
They see everything in a bright, light beam.
A child sees everything as something new,
Even if it’s the thousandth time it has been imbued.
So, why not be a child again.
Laugh as if you’re free.
No need to cry, every time you feel crazy.
Let’s see the world as a child again.
And use our hearts instead of our brains.
Let's see the world as a child does.
Happy Children's Day!!!
