Anti-Terrorism
Terrorism
Can we ever repay the dreams they once had?
Can we ever repay the wishes they left in half?
Can we ever repay the pain with which they were clad?
Can we ever repay the life snatched from their hands?
Just as the nation bows its head,
In pouring out bleeding pain,
The clouds tearing up, a storm brewing
Starting with a simple drop of rain.
It is the day of love, they say.
Can someone find a possible way,
To heal our scarred, heavy heart,
Throbbing with grief as our patriots depart?
“An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.”
Could someone teach humans to be kind?
They say that happiness has arrived,
Now that our oppressors have left.
But what about the cowardice,
The ignorance and the prejudice,
That’s impossible for us to dismiss?
It boils the heart, the mind and soul,
Shroud’s the martyr’s bloody veil,
Soils the tyrant’s immaculate cloak,
Yet, brooding saviors rise to avenge,
To spite the war their ancestors awoke.
An evil term is the term of terrorism.
The darkest word is the word of terrorism.
Spreading fear is the work of terrorism.
Discrimination is the remnant of terrorism.
Death lies in the wake of terrorism.
Terrorism is evil.
Hopefully, one day it will stop.
People have lost people they love.
Everyone has one wish. They want to feel safe.
We have had enough.
